This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. I am attempting to get the motherboard drivers; trying Last Known didn't do a lot of good for me. What I did notice is that the hardware ID of the Ethernet controller has somehow changed and I'm not sure how this has happened. Instead of it reading as PCI VEN_10EC&DEV_0139&SUBSYS_0A47103C&REV_10, it now reads as PCI VEN_10EC&DEV_ 8 139&SUBSYS_ 2A47103C&REV_10 - but the original hardware ID is still in the registry as well, although there seems to be a lot of information missing from the original registry entry under HKLM System CurrentControlSet Enum PCI.
